Ontario is a leading area in pharmaceutical drug production, with over 35 000 people employed in the province. This industry is expected to grow rapidly, as the provincial government invests heavily into the sector and attracts international companies. Our programs are designed to allow graduates to quickly find highly-skilled work in this industry. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technologist – trains you how to operate the machinery and equipment used in large-scale drug manufacturing. Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technologist – oversees the safety and reliability of the products made by pharmaceutical companies. Pharmacy Assistant – for those interested in working in pharmacies or medical centres. Open House Oxford College invites you to tour our Pharmaceutical Plant, QA/QC Lab and learn more about these programs at special Open House events. You will meet our faculty, get demonstrations of our equipment, and learn about how you can get involved in the pharmaceutical industry. Our next two Open House dates are Monday, March 12th - 6pm-8pm, and Sunday, March 18th - 11am-3pm. Call us at 416-439-8668 to learn more about our Open House events. |
Using our own Pharmaceutical Plant, Oxford College has developed programs for hands-on training in the pharmaceutical sciences. Our students learn using large-scale industrial machinery and specialized equipment that are used in today's processing plants.
