The CIPP/C Examination
The program includes focused preparation for the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) examination, administered by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). The CIPP/C is a globally recognized certification for privacy professionals, with a specific emphasis on Canadian laws and frameworks, including PIPEDA, PHIPA, and federal/provincial regulations. Students in this program complete a dedicated preparation course that includes practice exams, review sessions, and exam-focused study guides. By the end of the program, graduates will not only be prepared to sit for the CIPP/C exam but will also have the practical compliance knowledge needed to apply privacy and data protection standards in real-world financial contexts. The Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) exam consists of a total of 90 multiple-choice questions, of which 75 are scored and 15 are unscored pre-test questions. Candidates are given 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete the exam. The unscored questions are included to help test future exam content and do not impact the final result, but they are not identified on the test.
