Things to Do in Barrie

Barrie has it all. You can enjoy parks, restaurants and pubs, theatre, shopping, and other amenities in the downtown core. Or, catch a Barrie Baycats game if you’re a fan of baseball. Cultural offerings include the Simcoe County Museum, MacLaren Art Centre, Five Points Theatre, festivals, and other events. 

You’ll stay entertained all year long in Barrie. Barrie is well-known for its ski resorts, which are popular in the winter and for its access to the west shore of Lake Simcoe, which residents enjoy in the summer. There are numerous beaches, including Centennial Park, which also has trails, and a playground. During summer, you can enjoy live theatre, a movie under the stars, food, arts & crafts at Kempenfest and Promenade Days. Barrie’s Annual Winterfest will keep you cozy and delighted in the snow.

The Barrie Campus is in the Bayfield Mall, which can be found at Bayfield and Coulter Streets, on the west side of Highway 400.
