18 Month Dental Hygiene Program in the Greater Toronto Area

If you enthusiastically agree with that statement, then you have the right passion for becoming an excellent Dental Hygienist.

At Oxford College, you can train to become a Dental Hygienist in as quickly as 18 months with our program. You will gain valuable knowledge on how to address the needs of a dental hygiene client and acquire the knowledge and skills to provide preventative and therapeutic dental hygiene services for individuals and communities. Our program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC).

As a Dental Hygienist, you would assess your client’s oral health needs and provide preventative and therapeutic care to address each client’s individualized needs. Dental Hygienists provide a wide range of preventative and therapeutic services that may include: stain removal, application of dental sealants, performing tooth whitening, and taking X-rays, among other duties. Educating patients and making oral hygiene recommendations is also an integral part of this role.
